Strengthened this week: strong new signal (2 sources)

Researchers at Lawrence Livermore and startup Inertia Enterprises published a physics basis for commercial inertial fusion energy using laser indirect drive. Extrapolating from NIF's ignition and burning-plasma results, they present enlarged capsule and hohlraum designs driven by a 10 MJ laser that simulations indicate would reach target gains of roughly 26 to 43.
