The European Commission's Implementing Decision 2026/1736, in the Official Journal since mid-July 2026, lists six harmonised standards (beginning with EN 18216:2026) supporting the Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2024/1781. They define how digital product passport data must be structured and kept machine-readable for a product's full lifetime, including after the issuing company ceases trading.
