Photonic Processor Programming Stacks
Open developer kits, language APIs and simulators abstract analogue optical hardware so conventional software teams can target photonic processors without photonics expertise.
Developed mainly in: Germany and United StatesImpacting: North America, Europe and Rest of Asia
Q.ANT, a Stuttgart-based photonic computing company spun out of Trumpf, published an open-source SDK for its Native Processing Units. The kit provides C and Python APIs, sample code, documentation and a CPU-based simulation backend, letting developers build and validate optical-domain workloads locally before executing them on physical photonic hardware.
